Celebrating National Lamb Day 2025

National Lamb Day on Saturday 15 February honours a milestone in New Zealand’s history. It commemorates the departure of the ship Dunedin from Port Chalmers on 15 February 1882, carrying the first shipment of frozen lamb to London. Climate change policy-related updates

This week B+LNZ released important new research into how other countries treat issues such as agricultural GHG reduction targets and approaches to reducing emissions. The Government has announced measures to curb farm sales into forestry. There were also announcements relating to NZ’s methane targets.
