Catchment Community Group Facilitator

Bio

Janie is the NZ Landcare Trust Regional Coordinator for the Bay of Plenty Region. Janie has a wealth of experience working with communities within the region and is well placed to develop new initiatives.

Janie is currently working with the Waihi Estuary catchment as her examplar catchment, as well as working on many BOP-based projects including Paradise Valley Catchment Group, Project Parore, water monitoring citizen science project in the Te Puna/Waipapa catchment, and more.

Experience

Janie has extensive experience in community-led development, community engagement, facilitation and education. Janie has worked on many community initiatives, most recently supporting the set-up of the Paradise Valley Catchment Group and Project Parore. Janie is also involved with citizen science water monitoring and biosecurity projects.
