Levy rates on sheepmeat and beef remain unchanged
Notice is given that the rates of sheepmeat and beef levies (exclusive of GST) will not change for the levy year commencing 1 October 2026 and will continue to be 75 cents a head for sheepmeat and $5.20 a head for beef.
New resource management laws welcomed, but practical rules will be the real test
B+LNZ says the passage of the Natural Environment Bill and Planning Bill is positive for sheep and beef farmers, but the detailed rules will determine whether the new system delivers on its ambition. Read the full article here.

Whether you rear calves, grow dairy or dairy beef or are a dairy farmer, this survey asks questions about how and why you do it, what would encourage you to expand, and how we might slow drench resistance.
