Professor Derrick Moot (Lincoln University) talks about the development of the Agricultural Production Systems Simulator model (APSIM for short), which is one of the key tools to have come out of the Hill Country Futures Partnership programme.
Hill Country Futures was a long-term $8.1m programme focused on future proofing the profitability, sustainability and wellbeing of New Zealand’s hill country farmers, their farm systems, the environment and rural communities.
