Environmental Issues B+LNZ Farmer Roadshow

With a number of environmental issues currently being consulted on by the government, B+LNZ is running an Environmental Issues Farmer Roadshow to help farmers understand what's going on, get feedback from farmers on their thoughts on the policies being proposed, and to provide advice for farmers wanting to make a submission.

B+LNZ is looking to leverage off existing events for this roadshow to make it easier for farmers to attend, as we know it is a busy time of year, but we are also setting up standalone meetings where these are required.

Below is a list of meetings that are currently planned. Some of these are Ministry for the Environment farmer-focused meetings specifically to discuss the government's freshwater proposals. B+LNZ, along with Federated Farmers and DairyNZ, would like farmers to stay on after the Ministry for the Environment meetings so that we can talk with you in more detail about the government's proposals. Other meetings hosted by B+LNZ will be stand-alone events covering freshwater, climate change, and biodiversity.

The Ministry for the Environment is also hosting public meetings in major centres, which cover a wider range of environment policies. You can find those details on the Ministry for the Environment's website.

Please keep an eye out for updates in e-Diaries and we will be sending out email updates to farmers in each region.
