Our advisory groups ensure that our genetics programmes are grounded in real-world farming perspectives and deliver value to the industry.

Sheep Genetics Advisory Group (SGAG)
The Sheep Genetics Advisory Group (SGAG) is a joint initiative between members of the Genetics team and industry representatives. Their role is to provide a diverse range of viewpoints for engaged discussion that helps inform B+LNZ’s decision making. It includes members from varied industry positions and perspectives, including breeders, bureaus and commercial farmers, drawing on their insight, knowledge and understanding of the wider industry.
The group meets four times a year, with one face-to-face meeting and the remainder as online meetings.
