The formal Annual Meeting itself is on 21 March and will run from 10.30am at the Landing Service Conference Centre at 2 George St, Timaru.

Either side of the Annual Meeting B+LNZ has organised a range of events, including an exclusive first look at Taste Pure Nature’s California launch just as our country of origin brand goes live in the United States, with insights from those on the ground in California about how Taste Pure Nature will be rolled out, , as well as a processing company talking about how Taste Pure Nature will complement and build on the work they’re already doing.

There will also be discussion throughout the day of the key challenges and opportunities facing the sector, particularly focused on climate change, freshwater, and biodiversity where significant regulatory change is in the pipeline this year. These will also cover how Beef + Lamb New Zealand is helping farmers meet these challenges.

At the Annual Meeting we’ll also be providing an update on how Brexit is unfolding just days before the critical 29 March deadline, as well as explaining the work New Zealand’s red meat sector has done in partnership with the government to prepare for the different likely scenarios that could take place.

There will also be an interactive field trip to Geoff and Joy Hayward’s Mt Horrible farm which is at heart of the family's highly productive and profitable mixed cropping, sheep and beef operation. Come and hear how the Haywards' business has grown through grabbed opportunities and by utilising the complementary skills and talents of all family members.

The Haywards, who are part of the New Zealand Farm Assurance Programme, will also share their experience of working with ANZCO and Waitrose to supply a premium product to their UK consumers.
