This week’s notices:
Sheep and beef farmer input sought for major survey
The Survey of Rural Decision Makers is the largest and widest-reaching survey of New Zealand’s primary sector. Topics include land use and management, future planning, new farm tech, regulations, and rural wellbeing. B+LNZ encourages sheep and beef farmers to participate to ensure a wide range of perspectives from across the agriculture sector. Everyone who completes the survey enters a prize draw to win one of ten $500 supermarket vouchers. In addition, Manaaki Whenua – Landcare Research is donating $3 to charity for every new commercial farm that signs up – and you choose which charity to support. For every farm that completes the survey after signing up, an extra $12 will be donated. Sign up to support Farmers Adverse Events Trust, NZ Young Farmers, the Rural Support Trust, Rural Women, or Young Grower of the Year. Sign-ups close on 30 May, and the survey launches in early June. More info about the survey here.
