‘Have a hmmm’ this summer

B+LNZ encourages farmers to keep health and safety a top priority as you’re out and about this summer. ACC’s summer ‘Have a hmmm’ campaign reminds NZers that most injuries can be prevented by making some small changes. By being aware of the risks, then choosing to do things the right way, you can keep doing the summer activities you love. To help you learn how to stay injury-free this summer, check out these handy hints.

Calf rearer survey

The survey is now open. A new national study is capturing farmers’ real‑world experience to better understand calf‑rearing practices across NZ and support a stronger future for dairy beef. Farmers involved in calf rearing are encouraged to share their insights. Complete the survey here.

Reminder to submit samples for sheep genomics project

Owners of rams invited to participate in the Sire Genotyping Project are reminded to complete their consent forms and send in TSU samples. The TSU collection phase is scheduled to end February 2026 – first in, first genotyped until the budget runs out. Learn more about the project here. Questions? Email [email protected]
