Recruiting for farmer learning groups for livestock parasite management
B+LNZ is supporting the creation of seven new Livestock Parasite Management farmer learning groups across the country. These groups will focus on addressing drench resistance and improving parasite management. In the Southland region, vets Rochelle Smith and Andrew Cochrane are leading a group and are looking for 12 interested farmers who can commit to attending every meeting. Interested sheep and beef farmers can learn more and register by emailing Rochelle Smith at rochelle@nsvets.co.nz.
Call for farmers to join FE focus group
Are you passionate about tackling facial eczema (FE) and its effects on farming? Join our Eliminating Facial Eczema Impacts (EFEI) focus group on 4 September in Waikato. We're seeking sheep, beef, and dairy farmers to help shape our research and survey design. Your insights, whether or not you’ve been directly affected by FE, are crucial.
