This week’s notices:
Chief executive recruitment update
Sam McIvor’s last day at Beef + Lamb New Zealand was Wednesday 24 July and the recruitment process for a new CEO is ongoing. This is a critical role and a crucial time for our sector – it’s important we take the time to get this right. We expect to be in a position to make an announcement in the next few months. In the interim, Chief Operating Officer Cros Spooner is acting CEO.
2025 Parasite Management Calendar – we need your photos
Want to feature in our 2025 Parasite Management Calendar? We are looking for beautiful images showcasing the best of rural NZ for each month of the year. If your photo is selected you will get a copy of the calendar, a goodie bag, and bragging rights. We need your original image, so it is high enough quality to be blown up to calendar size. To enter, email the image to research@beeflambnz.com by 11 August 2024.
NAIT feedback
OSPRI is seeking feedback as part of consultation on the NAIT 2025–2028 Traceability Operational Strategy. The NAIT scheme is reviewed every three years to shape the next three-year strategy and to calculate funding, including any necessary levy adjustments. OSPRI is inviting submissions from all NAIT scheme participants including farmers, PICAs, and PICA delegates, saleyards, and stock and station agents. The consultation runs until 11 August. NAIT users can submit feedback here.
