National Lamb Day celebrated across the country
National Lamb Day (16 February) was celebrated across the country this week, starting with an early parliamentary lunch hosted by Minister Todd McClay. Around 40 MPs and Ministers attended wearing their National Lamb Day t-shirts. Social media was full of conversations about the significance of our sector and how people were having their lamb – we’ve shared some to our Facebook page here. Southern Field Days also buzzed with conversations about NZ Lamb with The Rock FM broadcasting their drivetime show from the grounds. Our team, stationed at site A89, engaged with farmers and hosted competitions in collaboration with B+LNZ Inc.
