Specific examples of vegetation suitable for carbon sequestration in Central Otago will be provided.
- Erica Van Reenan (AgFirst, He Waka Eke Noa) – As well as her role as a farmer and agricultural consultant, Erica has been leading the sequestration workstream for He Waka Eke Noa (HWEN). She has an in-depth knowledge of the sequestration options being put forward by HWEN, as well as practical insight into the opportunities for sequestration on sheep and beef farms.
- David Norton (University of Canterbury) – David is a recently retired Professor of University of Canterbury, with specialties including exotic forestry, conservation and ecology. He has a wealth of experience working with farmers to develop ecological plans for their properties and has a very good working knowledge of species (both native and exotic) that will grow in Central Otago environments.
