Prof Stephen Goldson: New Zealand Grassland Association Levy Oration 2017

Prof Stephen Goldson has worked for 30 years on long-term projects focused mainly on the biological suppression of New Zealand’s worst exotic pasture pest species. This is an area he continues to contribute to.

The Levy Oration is one of NZGA’s highest honours, and commemorates the lifetime efforts of agricultural science pioneer, Sir E. Bruce Levy, in developing and communicating grassland science at the old Plant Research Bureau, later DSIR's Grasslands Division, and currently part of AgResearch in Palmerston North. It allows an invited speaker time to speak on the topic of their choosing.
