The Calf rearer survey explores the experiences, needs and challenges of calf rearers in New Zealand. The 383 responses provide a baseline to help inform the Dairy Beef Opportunities (DBO) programme, identify opportunities to improve calf-rearing efficiency and profitability, and support more dairy-origin calves being reared across dairy, sheep and beef systems.
