You are invited to apply for the Beef + Lamb New Zealand Young Farmer Development Scholarship (SSI).
The scholarship seeks to strengthen both the individual recipient’s career progression and the long-term success by contributing up to $7,500 through targeted training and development opportunities.
The Southern South Island (SSI) Young Farmer Development Scholarship aims to identify, recognise and support emerging leaders within the sheep and beef sector. The scholarship invests in the professional development of young farmers who demonstrate commitment to the industry and a desire to build their skills, knowledge, leadership capability and influence
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must be:
- Actively involved in, or employed within, the SSI sheep & beef sector Located within the SSI region.
- Aged between 21–35 years old.
- At least 3–4 years’ experience working within the sheep & beef sector.
- Demonstrate a commitment to developing a long-term career within the sector.
