The day will include an overview of the Stradbrooke farm system, a farm walk looking at different forage systems for lamb finishing and dairy-beef, and a farmer panel discussion on finishing systems and dairy-beef.
After lunch there will be an interactive AI problem solving session led by Carey Pawson-Edwards (LSR) and Amazon Web Services.
Throughout the day the Stradbrooke team will be sharing their numbers and gross margins across different parts of the business, and demonstrate how they are using data and AI to improve management and ultimately profitability.
Speakers
- Kevin Clucas (Farm Manager, Stradbrooke, Lone Star Farms) - Kevin did 20 years with Landcorp/Pamu from 2002, moving from shepherd to farm manager to business manager and working on large sheep, beef and deer finishing farms as well as dairy farms. He took over mangement of Stradbrooke in 2022.
- Peter Withers (Farming dairy and dairy-beef near Stavely) - Peter was a sheep & beef farmer before taking over the family dairy farm four years ago.They breed and finish their own dairy-beef calves and are excited by the performance of this new stock class.
