About the day
- David is an expert in integrated land management especially involving biodiversity in agricultural & forestry systems.
- He has over 40 years’ experience in New Zealand Ecology and is well known for working closely with farmers to promote biodiversity conservation. He focuses on practical ways to build this into farm systems with significant experience in ecological restoration.
- Since retiring from University of Canterbury he now actively works alongside farmers to incorporate native biodiversity into farms that results in win-win outcomes for farming and native biodiversity.
- This day will include various on site visits with examples of integrated biodiversity on various farming operations.
