Every ram you buy is an investment in the future performance of your ewe flock and the success of your lamb crop.
This practical workshop will give commercial sheep farmers the skills and confidence to make informed ram-buying decisions that align with their farming system and breeding goals.
We'll step through the key stages of ram selection, from defining your breeding objectives and identifying breeders that can help you achieve them, through to assessing individual rams using genetic information such as indexes and Breeding Values (BVs).
We'll also introduce nProve Tracker, a new tool that helps farmers monitor the genetic progress of their flock and connect sire decisions with on-farm outcomes.
BBQ and refreshments to follow.
