An experienced rural professional providing facilitation services to the rural sector as an independent contractor. Currently facilitating RMPP Action Network groups in both the Bay of Plenty and the Waikato. Bring forty years of experience working with landowners and the community to achieve positive environmental outcomes for both.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Commerce (VFM) 1977. Masters Degree in Natural Resource Management 1984. Completed the RMPP Fundamentals two day course, the two day Lead Facilitator course and have been accredited as an RMPP Action Network Group Facilitator.
Experience
Early years post graduation were with the Lands and Survey Department managing Crown farming blocks around Taupo and Northland. Twenty years in senior management roles with the Department of Conservation, focusing primarily on facilitating community efforts to restore biodiversity values on public conservation land. These included supporting the establishment of the Supporters of Tiritiri Matangi, Matutapu, Motuihe and Motuora restoration societies. Ten years as the General Manager Land Management for the Bay of Plenty Regional Council, leading the councils catchment management, biodiversity and biosecurity programmes. Facilitated the establishment of a significant number of catchment and restoration groups in the Bay of Plenty during that time. Also led the Rotorua Lakes Restoration Programme. Currently facilitating RMPP Action Network groups in both the Bay of Plenty (Central BOP) and South Waikato (Matiere).
