Catchment Community Group Facilitator

Bio

Hi, I am Beef+Lamb NZ's Northern North Island's Catchment Co-ordinator, I am here to connect and help co-ordinate farmers and local communities from Auckland to Kaitaia who are interested in starting or maintaining a catchment group in their community.

My husband and I currently run a beef fattening block of around 400 head of cattle in the Wellsford area, while also working on a local sheep stud.

Qualifications

I have a Bachelors degree with Honors in Soil Science from Lincoln University, studying a range of topics from farm management, freshwater management to plants and soils, with a PhD in Soil Science.

Experience

I am currently working as a Catchment Co-ordinator for B+LNZ, providing guidance and resources to give your group the momentum it needs to form an incorporated society and gain access to funding for realizing your collective catchment goals.

I am passionate about helping to facilitate farmer led groups coming together for the betterment of their community. I believe catchment community groups allow for the growth of financial, social, natural and human resources. Each group is different and based on the individual values and goals of that community.
