I'm currently a facilitator for Beef and Lamb working with 14 groups throughout New Zealand focusing on soil health and pasture management to ensure improved water quality. Prior to that I wrote a column for New Zealand Farmer on farming practices to assist farmers switch their thinking to reduce inputs and work with nature. I've spent 20 years working with New Zealand and Australian farmers assisting them with a wide range of practical ideas and management techniques to enjoy discovering new ways to farm which increase farmer enthusiasm for farming. Qualifications
The link between farm profit, production, pollution and risk is laid out here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9ytTwU_TUQ. I've spent nearly 25 years working with groups helping them understand how pasture ecology works and its impact on hydrological cycles. Grazing practices make the link between what you have on FEP and what is actually observed. Therefore, how to experiment on farm and discover what works and without breaking the bank should be focus of any group. With a background in agriculture and adult learning I bring fresh, practical perspectives plus many farmer observations to any situation.
Experience
I currently run 14 Beef and Lamb Action groups throughout New Zealand which is testimony to my ability to attract farmers to join together for their mutual benefit. If you have any questions or would like further clarification or suitability give me a call on 027 6737 885.
