Esther Dijkstra
Qualifications
I have completed the Beef + Lamb NZ catchment coordination and facilitation training programme and can support catchment groups with facilitation and group coordination.
I have also completed various additional facilitation courses, including the Top Facilitative Leadership programme (module 1, 2, 3 and 5) and the RMPP facilitator workshop.
I have a PhD in Environmental Science (University of Amsterdam), MSc in Physical Geography (University of Utrecht).
Experience
I have extensive experience in community-led development, community engagement, facilitation and education. I have worked on many community initiatives, most recently supporting the set-up of Wairarapa Pukaha to Kawakawa Alliance.
I have been involved with the Mangatarere Restoration Society in Carterton from the start as a volunteer and facilitator. I’m also involved with citizen science water monitoring projects.
As an Enviroschools Facilitator I’m working with a range of schools and community organisations. I have been involved with the Ruamahanga Whaitua as deputy chair.
