Showcase event: field trip to Moutere Downs

A field trip to the Moore family’s sheep and beef operation Moutere Downs will be a highlight of the day.
Meet this future-focused family who have been breeding for worm resistance, footrot resistance and Facial Eczema tolerance in their two sheep studs for decades. The studs are run alongside the family's high producing commercial ewe flock, breeding cows and trading cattle.
Before and during the farm tour, B+LNZ will outline the research underway to address animal health challenges and provide farmers with the information and tools they need to farm in an increasingly challenging environment.
A panel discussion will feature two Tasman-based 2023 Beef + Lamb New Zealand Award winners, Repost Ltd and Pearl Veal along with Awards judge and Farmers Weekly publisher, Dean Williamson.
Those attending the Annual Meeting will also have the opportunity to sample Pearl Veal's outstanding product at the BBQ following the meeting.

This is your opportunity to hear from Chair Kate Acland and Chief Executive Sam McIvor about B+LNZ’s key achievements and activities in the last year and priorities ahead. Remits will also be discussed in detail.
