- Gauging when your team members has the knowledge and skills to do the task you’ve trained them in.
- Different ways to measure competence and confidence.
Part 4: Working with different generations of people effectively
When: 11 July
- How to communicate effectively with different generations people.
- How to recognise signs of struggle and provide support.
Speaker bios
Lee Astridge – subject matter expert speaker for parts 1 & 3
Lee Astridge from No8HR has been involved in on-farm training and learning for over 20 years and has a wealth of experience in adult learning needs across a range of demographics.

Carolyn Patchett – subject matter expert speaker for part 2
Carolyn brings extensive experience and passion to food and fibre vocational education. Carolyn (Primary ITO) coaches staff for work-based learner success, drawing on her tertiary teaching background in horticulture and agriculture.

Marianne Auburn – subject matter expert speaker for part 2
Marianne also brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for vocational education in the food and fibre sector. Marianne (Agriculture Sector Manager), a former farmer and teacher, translates on-farm needs into practical relevant training. Together, they are dedicated to growing capability across the food and fibre sector through practical, learner-focused education.

Sarah Donaldson – subject matter expert speaker for part 4
Sarah Donaldson is clinical psychologist, Farmstrong ambassador and Rural Support coordinator based in the Wairarapa, who has many years of experience on navigating stress and sharing practical tips for communicating across generations and supporting farm team wellbeing.
