To be a Korowai of support and advocacy for our Māori levy payers as well as the wider Red Meat sector.  ‘Waiho I te toipoto, Kaua I te toiroa’, Lets us be close together, not far apart’

Our mahi in the Māori agribusiness sector covers a range of areas including:

  • providing information and support – we work on the ground where needed, run wānanga and hui, and collaborate across the sector, with a strong focus on farm system outcomes that look at all aspects of the whenua.
  • building understanding of B+LNZ's Māori levypayers – to better inform B+LNZ’s broader work.
  • supporting our large Whenua Māori collectives – to gain understanding and refine and adjust our offering.

We also have an internal focus so B+LNZ staff and Directors can feel more confident in Te Ao Māori.

This work is all underpinned by the core values of whanau and manaakitanga, so partnerships are critical.

We use our networks and expertise to work with key Māori farming groups across Aotearoa.
