B+LNZ has partnered with Aspire2 Workplace Communication to offer a tailored training programme for sheep and beef farmers to support great workplace cultures.
If you're new to managing staff or working towards staff management or simply just want to improve your current employment skills, then this programme is for you.
Join us across multiple weeks to complete 40 hours learning. Best of all … it’s free thanks to Government funding for eligible farmers!

Who are Aspire2 Workplace communication?
- They are the largest provider of communication training for workplaces in New Zealand.
- They have been in operation for over 20 years.
- They train front-line staff, team leaders, supervisors and managers in over 40 different industry sectors.
The programme aims to:
- improve farmers' communication confidence
- enhance your ability to work with others by understanding different workstyles
- build decision-making skills and strategies for navigating change
- strengthen leadership abilities
- ultimately improve farm efficiency and reduce stress.
What to expect
- Personalised learning experience with a maximum of 12 farmers participating.
- Mix of face-to-face (6) and online (3) workshops.
- Topics covered have been created specifically to help support strong workplace cultures.
- No homework, but you’ll want to put what you learn immediately into practice.
- Fun & interesting sessions, with a safe environment where conversations are confidential.
- Pre-workshop online assessment: April 16th (online).

Each face-to-face day 9.30am-3pm.
Each online: 3hrs – timing to be decided by group.

Am I eligible?
- NZ citizens/residents with qualifications no higher than Level 5 (and not currently in an apprenticeship).
