Join us for the last two events in the Dairy Beef Opportunities Series, delivered in partnership with DairyNZ and Beef + Lamb. New Zealand is faced with both a challenge and an opportunity in the management of non‑replacement dairy calves.
Lunch will be provided. Please register for catering purposes. Help protect our industry by arriving with clean boots to prevent the spread of disease, pests, or weeds.
Session 2: Tools and nutrition for profitable calf rearing
Why attend?
The second event in the Dairy Beef Opportunities series, delivered in partnership with DairyNZ and Beef + Lamb, talks about all things calf rearing - from understanding calf requirements to meeting their nutritional needs – so you can ensure your animals are efficiently reared, healthy, and thriving when they reach 100kgs.
Host farmer Cory Helms, who has successfully integrated dairy beef into his farming system, will share his experience and have his calves on farm for practical, hands-on discussion.
