B+LNZ, Mangatangi Maramarua Catchment and Western Firth Catchment invite you to our Technology Field Day.
Farming technology has the potential to be a game‑changer for sheep and beef farmers—but knowing where to start and what actually adds value is key.
Beef + Lamb New Zealand, together with the Mangatangi–Maramarua and Western Firth Catchments, invite you to a Technology Field Day showcasing practical, on‑farm technology and demonstrations from leading industry partners.
This hands‑on day will explore how today’s farming technologies can improve efficiency, reduce labour pressure, and help lower production costs. From tracking tank water via an app on your phone, through to livestock handling systems, fencing and virtual fencing technology, and drone applications, you’ll see real‑world tools in action and hear how farmers are using them successfully.
What you’ll see on the day:
- Water monitoring and resource tracking with Watermetrics
- Gallagher livestock and fencing technologies, including weigh scales, wands, connectivity, fencing systems, and collars
- Practical drone applications for sheep and beef farming with AgDrone
- A farmer’s perspective on adopting technology and unlocking productivity gains with Guy Melville
