The South Otago Farming for Profit committee are proud to present this showcase of “Different routes into land ownership”.
As land and livestock values have risen, the ability to work your way into farm ownership has changed. Alternative methods now offer new pathways to help achieve your land ownership goals.
This event will provide the opportunity to hear from a banker and accountant covering their experiences and providing solid advice on what they are wanting to see from farmers to help them succeed.
Guest speakers
- Steve King(ANZ) will be providing insight into what banks are looking for when they are lending to prospective landowners. Providing detail into lending ratios, business plans and the power of equity.
- Tony Marshall (CEG Ltd) is an rural accountant, who has over 25 years of dealing with farmers and helping achieve their farming goals via succession or building equity.
- Brent Irving (PGG Wrightson Real Estate) will share his experiences on helping people achieving their land ownership goals and highlight the platform of Landify.
We will also hear from 6 farming couples sharing their story of land ownership, the panel will cover scenarios including:
- Equity partnerships.
- Leasing.
- Share farming.
- Other alternative avenues.
