This event is brough to you by B+LNZ, Halter and AgResearch. Join us for a dynamic and insightful field day hosted by Jon and Fiona Sherlock, that showcases the evolution of traditional farming systems into a more cattle-focused approach, powered by Halter technology.
This event is designed to provide a comprehensive update on how the Sherlocks are navigating system change, refining stock policy, and embracing innovation to drive productivity and sustainability.
We will also hear from Kirsty Browne at Halter on the rapid uptake of collar technology and the drivers behind this. Katherine Tozer from AgResearch will join us to share insights from a current project that is running alongside the transition from traditional livestock systems to a beef-focused model supported by collar technology. This project is monitoring key production, environmental and social indicators, including soil, water, pasture, trees and Jon and Fiona’s journey – to better understand the impacts of this transition and support sustainable land management.
BBQ to finish the day. This day is limited to 40 attendees, farmers will be given priority to attend this day.
