On-farm biosecurity is so much more than disinfectant tub washes of boots at the gate. Join us for this informative and participatory workshop where you can build a plan to protect your patch.
When we think about biosecurity we go straight to the big guns such as M.bovis and Foot and Mouth Disease. But what about the diseases you are working hard to avoid such as BVD, TB, drench resistance, or those you have come to accept such as Johnes Disease and footrot.
Join us for this informative, hands-on workshop where you can build a plan to protect your patch from diseases that could cost you in lost production or be catastrophic for our sector.
Light lunch provided.
Topics covered
- Understanding drystock biosecurity guidelines.
- On farm interventions and practical tools such as a Biosecurity WOF to help protect your patch.
Facilitator
Facilitated by Will Halliday (BVSc), Senior Manager, Technical Policy, Beef and Lamb New Zealand and supported by the Eastern North Island Regional Extension Team.
