
In honour of long-serving members of the Mid-Northern North Island Farmer Council, this scholarship supports individuals connected to the sheep and beef sector in their pursuit of professional and personal development. It aims to foster leadership, innovation, and growth within the industry.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must either:
- Pay a Beef + Lamb New Zealand levy.
- Be directly related to someone who pays the levy or work for a business that pays the levy.
- Must reside or have a strong connection to the Mid-Northern North Island Farmer Council region.
Open to individuals pursuing but not limited to:
- Tertiary education.
- Primary Industry training, courses and programmes.
- Personal development or leadership courses relevant to the agricultural sector.
All ages and career stages welcome – whether you’re just starting out or looking to upskill.
Selection criteria
- Demonstrated commitment to the New Zealand sheep and beef sector.
- Clear goals for how the scholarship will support professional or personal development.
- A personal statement on how the applicant intends to contribute to the sector in the future.
Scholarship value: $2,000.
