Join us for a unique on-farm event hosted by Stokman Angus at their sale barn, where innovation meets tradition. This is the second winter, Stokman Angus has been using Halter on their yearling bulls grazing kale, and also their cow herd – they’re keeping the collars on their bulls right through to their yearling sale in mid-September.
Come and see firsthand how Halter is transforming bull management. The Halter team will be onsite to share insights into the development of their technology, the rapid growth they’re seeing in the beef sector, and what’s driving more farmers to adopt this game-changing tool.
Following the Halter session, we’ll return to the sale barn for the Mid Northern North Island Farmer Council Annual Meeting. Hear updates from our Director and Farmer Council Chair, and take part in shaping the future of our farming community.
We’ll wrap up the evening with an Angus Pure Dinner and an inspiring guest speaker to close out the event.
Guest speaker
Christy Mead
Christy Mead will be sharing insights from Agnition’s Farm Innovation Network – a platform that helps bring practical, farmer-focused innovations to life. She’ll talk about how the network works, why it’s needed, and highlight a few sheep and beef innovations that have been trialled on-farm. These case studies will show what’s been tested, what’s worked, and how other farmers can get involved.
