Join us for an engaging afternoon on this iconic property in Pohangina.
Renowned for their hard-nosed approach to breeding and genetics, the Cameron’s are highly sought after for their rams and bulls. They are also previous winners of the Glammies and the Steak of Origin – they don’t just look good and have the numbers, they taste great too! Come and hear from them about what makes them tick, how they tackle challenges at farm and industry level, and what the future might hold for them.
The day will include a good session on getting set-up for autumn, this will include top tips from local farmers and rural professionals, and an interactive panel discussion. Areas covered will include animal health, nutrient management, crops and pasture management.
With an eye to future technology, the day will also feature a demonstration of the latest drone technology and applications for agriculture and forestry. The drone demo will be from a local company who will show what the drone is capable of for spraying and seeding.
What to bring
Quad bikes or side-by-sides will be required for the farm tour. Helmets are required on both quads and side-by-sides.
The day will conclude with refreshments and a BBQ.

- 1pm: welcome and introductions.
- 1.15pm: panel discussion – preparing for a successful autumn.

2pm: farm tour of Ngāputahi with hosts, Forbes and Angus Cameron.
5pm: drone demonstration with Brandon Day, Ram Drones – using a drone for seeding and spraying on hill country.
5.45pm: wrap-up followed by BBQ and refreshments.
