Struggling with drench resistance? You're not alone.

Keeping worms under control and staying profitable is getting harder. That’s why Beef + Lamb New Zealand is running Livestock Parasite Management Groups to help farmers tackle drench resistance head-on.

These groups will bring together farmers of all ages and farm types across the Wairarapa & Tararua. In this space you’ll learn from other farmers in your area and be supported by expert local vets who know parasites inside out.

It’s all about finding practical solutions that work on your farm. Farmers already in the programme say it’s helping them upskill, solve problems, and make better decisions.

What to expect

  • Learning and support to upskill on parasite management and deal with drench resistance and parasite problems on your own farm
  • Led by experienced facilitators (Wairarapa’s group will be run by Wormwise trainer and vet Sara Sutherland; Tararua’s is vet Rachael Fouhy)
  • Small annual fee
  • Good yarns, shared learning, and real results

Interested in being involved?

  • If you can commit to half-day meetings, 4 times a year, for 3 years, and are keen to work with a small group of like-minded farmers – we’d love to hear from you.
  • Groups will begin in the next few months. Specific details will be provided closer to the time.
