Join the free Central Otago Parasite Management Group and farm smarter, not harder.
Every farm in Central Otago has parasites(worms) within their system. For years we have used drench families to help combat the effects of worms on livestock performance. Now we are seeing more drenches failing and no new drench families being developed for the New Zealand market. Meaning we are going to have to look at our farm system if we are going to successfully fatten livestock, overcome parasite challenge and be profitable.
In Central Otago we will be releasing the Parasite Integrated Management focus group. Targeting 8-12 farming businesses to meet 3-4 key times of year. Just like RMPP this will be free for all levy payers. Will be run in conjunction with Andrew Dowling from PGG Wrightson/Wormwise facilitator.
