B+LNZ Beef Genetics Workshop

Bull riding

This hands-on workshop is designed to help farmers better understand and interpret the information presented in bull catalogues and learn which structural traits are important when selecting a bull.

We’ll step through the key parts of selecting bull - from defining your breeding objectives, to choosing the right breeder, and assessing individual bulls using genetic and physical information.

This workshop suits commercial beef farmers wanting to sharpen their bull buying skills, lift herd performance, and make genetics work harder on their farms. Many thanks to our hosts the Crawshaw Family - Kenhardt Angus.
