We will be exploring the topic of leasing land and all the associated complexities. Leasing land can be a great way to start a career in farming or to build stock assets and profitability. However, in order to be successful, it needs to be set up properly.
Braydon Schroder from Perrin Ag will guide us through the opportunities and intricacies of leasing land. He will cover various aspects such as arriving at a lease price, conducting due diligence, establishing effective communication between the owner and the lessee, and maintaining the assets. Braydon will also discuss the design of profitable short-term systems.
We will also have a representative from the iwi sharing their perspective and explaining the processes involved in leasing Maori trust land. In addition, a guest speaker will provide insights into the contractual aspects of leasing land and how to ensure the process is done correctly.
The field day will be hosted at Tony and Jo Carr’s property.
