Virtual Fencing and Parasite Control: a Halter-FecPak field day.
About the day
Richard and Amy Fowler farm a beef block at Okere where they run their dairy replacement heifers, and finish steers which they have reared on nurse cows. They have recently introduced Halter collars into their system to improve the grazing management of the steers on the more rolling country.
Come along and learn about their journey to using Halter and hear how Halter might be integrated into a beef system. We will have Lucy Cronin and Theo Beaumont from Halter presenting on the day.
We will also have Tracy McHutchon from FecPak presenting on their product and the importance of parasite management away from just the drench gun.
A great opportunity to look at a property incorporating novel ways to both rear and finish cattle whilst fitting into their wider farming system.
