About the day
- Assemble for the pōwhiri at Ngaiotonga Marae, 1561 Rawhiti Road, Whangaruru.
- Lunch will be provided, all welcome to join us.
- The day will include a farm tour – 4WD vehicles only.
Protect our industry – please arrive with clean boots to reduce the risk of spreading a disease, pest or weed.
Judges highlights
- Strong and successful – land and people together’ – a vision that has driven governance decisions with a clear focus on economic independence, farm development and accumulating wealth to grow the assets of the Trust.
- Excellent pasture and stock management utilising Farmax to ensure grazing and sale and purchase decisions are made with real-time information and modelled against forecasted feed covers and expected liveweight gain.
- Extensive fencing carried out across the whole farm to improve ease of management and increase biodiversity, and soil maps in place so lighter animals can be grazed on more fragile soils.
