2024 BFEA Regional Open Day: Canterbury

Join us for the Open Day of this year’s Canterbury Ballance Farm Environment Awards Supreme Winners Guild and Dunbar families of High Peak Station.

Come along and see first-hand this diverse high-country business and the sustainable farming practices that underpin the whole operation. 

All welcome rain or shine - please come prepared for any weather!

Topics to be covered, including guest speakers: 

• Integration and management of different business enterprises.
• The Selwyn River Valley Catchment.
• QEII Trust, functions and covenants.
• Succession.

Schedule

• 11am-12pm: Registration, tea & coffee.
• 12pm: Welcome, presentations and farm tour.
• 4.30pm: High Peak invite you for a BBQ and refreshments.

Catering will be provided by Food over Fire; a $10 donation is appreciated, with the proceeds going to Windwhistle School.

Biosecurity

• Please ensure you have clean footwear and vehicles are not carrying any vegetation. FARM TOUR Clean 4WD vehicles with good clearance. 
• Carpooling will be required to reduce the amount of vehicles on the tour.
