To sign up to e-diaries, create/login to a B+LNZ online account, go to ‘Account settings’ and select the e-diary box – you’ll be asked to pick which region/s you want to receive e-diaries for.

B+LNZ is a partner in the Dairy Beef Opportunities programme alongside DairyNZ, the Meat Industry Association, and the Dairy Companies Association of New Zealand. If you're interested in receiving updates about the programme, you can sign up for the e-newsletter here. 

Rural Leadership Advancement Scholarship 2026 now open 

B+LNZ is offering a $4,000 contribution towards a place on any Rural Leaders programme for six livestock farmers to advance their leadership skills and impact on the sector. Learn more and apply on B+LNZ’s website before 11 October 2026.

WorkSafe inspectors head to farms in proactive safety push 

Between October and December, WorkSafe is conducting its Quarter Two worksite visits on sheep and beef farms, with the aim of helping farmers understand and meet their health and safety responsibilities. Around 600 sheep and beef farming businesses are expected to be contacted as part of this initiative. More information on what to expect can be found on the Worksafe website here.
