Grazing vineyards with sheep

Sheep are often used to 'pluck' leaves on vineyards. MPI advises graziers, farmers and vineyard owners and operators to check and follow withholding periods (WHPs) for any chemicals used on the vineyard that pose a risk of residues in meat. This typically  requires grazing these sheep on 'clean' feed (where no chemical residues of concern are present) for 2 - 6 months after leaf-plucking finishes.
