B+LNZ is helping students connect with real farmers and the wider agricultural world – right from their classrooms. Through virtual calls, farm visits, guest speakers, and hands-on learning opportunities, we’re inspiring the next generation to discover the people, processes, and possibilities behind New Zealand’s food and fibre sector.
Here are some of the education initiatives B+LNZ supports.
Farmer Time for schools
- Farmer Time for Schools connects New Zealand farmers with primary and intermediate students through virtual calls, inspiring and educating them about food production and the diverse agricultural industry from farm to fork.
Agribusiness in schools
B+LNZ partners with Agribusiness in Schools because we recognise that creating awareness of careers in the sheep and beef sector is best achieved through organisations with specialist education expertise. While B+LNZ provides industry knowledge, farmer perspectives and sector connections, Agribusiness in Schools brings the educational capability and school networks needed to engage students effectively. Together, we can ensure young people gain meaningful insight into the diverse career opportunities available across the primary sector while strengthening education and workforce pathways for the future. This partnership directly supports our strategic goal of building a strong pipeline of future talent for New Zealand's sheep and beef industry.
