Join us for our B+LNZ Muster to Manager Workshop to hear from four farm managers who have been managing farms locally and have made their way up through the industry.
Farm Manager Panel
- Georgie Murray – Esk Head
- Andy Lock – Mendip Hills
- Scott Paton – Mount Somers Station
- Harry Railton – Sail Rock
Our panelists will share their career journeys, the key skills and knowledge that helped them succeed, and what they wish they had known when starting out.
You'll also hear from Mark Zino, an experienced farm owner who has employed farm managers for many years. Mark will discuss what farm owners look for in their managers and what it takes to stand out in the role.
Come prepared with some questions for our farmer panelists and make the most of this opportunity to learn from those already doing the job.
Trade Stand Session
We will also have a trade stand session where you can explore other opportunities to build your skills, leadership and industry knowledge that will help you on your journey to farm management.
Thanks to PrimaryITO, New Zealand Young Farmers and Beef + Lamb New Zealand People and Capability for supporting the trade stand session.

Thanks to ANZ for the refreshments and BBQ afterwards.
