Parasites 101

Internal parasites, or worms, are a significant cause of livestock production loss.

Anthelmintics, or drench, is the most common tool farmers use to control parasites. However, parasites are becoming increasingly resistant to drench with drenches failing on an increasing number of farms in New Zealand. Watch this video to get an overview of parasites, some examples of how to delay the development of drench resistance. Thanks to Teagasc for the inspiration behind this video.
