Annual meeting voting packs

Voting packs were sent last week and should be arriving for everyone on B+LNZ’s electoral roll. You’re on the roll if you previously received voting packs for B+LNZ annual meetings or referendums – you don’t need to register again. If you haven’t received a pack and think you should have, contact us on 0800 BEEFLAMB (0800 233 352) or by email at enquiries@beeflambnz.com.

Complete the remuneration survey for a chance to win!

The Federated Farmers and Rabobank New Zealand remuneration survey is a valuable tool for farming businesses to inform decisions around remuneration packages that will attract and retain staff. The more farmers that participate, the more robust the results will be. Take the survey before 26 February 2024 and be in to win. The prize draw consists of one $200 winner and three $100 prizes.

Have your say on NZMB industry good funding proposals

Farmers are encouraged to have their say on a New Zealand Meat Board proposal to continue funding the Informing New Zealand Beef (INZB) genetics programme and supporting a new Facial Eczema research project. The NZMB is recommending contributing up to $700,000 towards INZB and providing up to $1 million for the Facial Eczema programme. Farmers can provide feedback on funding the programmes, and a resolution on Director fees, by completing and posting the form enclosed in the NZMB-B+LNZ voting packs or by visiting the website. Farmers can also register online for the NZMB Annual Meeting on 15 March. More information can be found here.

Regional NAIT support sessions

Need a hand with NAIT or TBfree? Ospri is running another round of NAIT support sessions across the country with a range of different times to best suit your schedule. There are limited spaces, so visit the OSPRI website to find an event closest to you. B+LNZ is a shareholder in Ospri, along with DairyNZ, Deer Industry New Zealand, and the Ministry for Primary Industries.
