
Scott Gower of Ohura and Andrew Stewart of Marton will stand in Western North Island to replace outgoing Director Kirsten Bryant, who was not seeking re-election.

Nicky Hyslop of Timaru and Bill Wright of Cave will stand in Central South Island. Bill Wright is the incumbent Director for the district.

As only one nomination was received from David Nelson for the Directors Independent Remuneration Committee, no election is required.
No written remits have been submitted for the Annual Meeting. Two resolutions will be presented and explanatory notes for those are available here.
Election Day will be Friday 15 March 2019 and elections will be conducted by postal and internet voting. Voting papers will be posted on 11 February 2019.
To be eligible to vote, a livestock farmer must, on 30 June 2018, have owned at least:
- 250 sheep, or
- 50 beef cattle, or
- 100 dairy cattle.
Farmers are encouraged to contact B+LNZ on 0800 233 352 to check if they are on the electoral roll or to get a voter registration form. The electoral roll will close at 5pm Friday 25 January 2019.
