The Red Meat Profit Partnership (RMPP), of which Beef + Lamb New Zealand (B+LNZ) is a partner, has developed a workshop called ‘Taking Ownership of Your Financials’.

The workshop is designed to build farmer confidence in understanding the financial performance of their business.  It enables farmers to identify where the farm business is performing well and areas with further potential.

Farmers are taken through a set of farm financial accounts. You’ll learn how to calculate the three key performance indicators (KPIs) required for a farm Action Plan – Net Production per Effective Hectare, Farm Operating Expenditure (FOE) Ratio, Net Production per Effective Hectare.

“The workshop provides ideal foundational learning for farmers around understanding their farm financials,” says RMPP Action Group facilitator Geordie McCullum. “It’s pitched at the right level and provides an opportunity for farmers to further build on what they learn.”

The workshop is fully funded by RMPP.

This is another initiative that is supporting sheep and beef farmers improve their productivity and profitability.
