Recovery package for farmers impacted by M. bovis

As part of this, Beef + Lamb New Zealand and DairyNZ are putting together a team of rural professionals who understand both farming and the compensation process who can sit down and work with farmers on their claims. These roles are currently being recruited for and can be found on the B+LNZ Careers Centre

A new compensation form has been developed which is available on MPI’s website, and a new guidance document for the compensation process will be available soon.

Of the 24,000 farms in New Zealand, to date 74 have been infected and 36 of these have been destocked and cleared of M. bovis. An up-to-date situation report is also available on MPI’s website.
